Selena Gomez-my mind and me

2022-selena was the narrator -had clips of concerts, her voice narrating, her talking to others -she is still young and has a career ahead of her
she says she had everything she wished for but it almost killed her
she has no idea what shes doing with her life
the pressure from others can be overwhelming
she wonders when shell be good enough by herself without being linked with others like justin
she sometimes wakes up and feels like she just doesnt have it in her
she cant explain whats in her head
she speaksnup about her bipolar diagnosis
when she goes home she goes back to her old favourite ppaces so she doesnt forget what theyre like
she loved her job at the start and saw it as an escape from other things but then she became more vain and lonely
she relates to people with mental health issues and lupus
she hadnt been on stage and dint know if she was readybut didnt think there was any point in having written a good song but being too scared to sing it
she shows clips of her making mistakes when singing
she never felt good enough
even when on stage she always finds the one person that doesnt like her
she feels stuck and just wants to move forward
shes at peace but sad at the same time
Who made it-Alex Keshishian-has directed other documentaries such as Madonna
How involved was she-it took over half a decade -showed some clips where she wasnt aware she was being recorded in some clips, but she was the narrator which shows she chose how to tell her story and whcih bits she felt were suitable to include
Critical reviews-rotten tomatoes-This is not your usual “famous person” documentary that attempts to paint a larger-than-life picture of its subject. Rather, the film uses the phenomenon of celebritydom to focus on the realities of a society that is alienating for
Even for those (like myself) who do not consider themselves amongst the millions of Selena Gomez fans, this film will be of interest. That is because of its raw and intimate nature. We get to see a human being many. The film is really Gomez' search for purpose, and it appears she realized while filming the documentary that this was the platform to fulfill it.
Conclusions and link to my EPQ-  Overall,I believe Selena made this documentary to portray her mntal health issues rather than to present herself in a good light. She seems very honest in her documentary as she shows clips of her strughles and talks about having to go into an institution. This links to my epq as she shows her lows but also shows her finding her way out of them over a time period
