Due to mocks and the summer holidays I have decided now is the perfect time to take a break from my project.So far I have just introduced my project by using 500 words to explain my research.I will continue my project in september and begin to talk about what i have found out about how useful documentaries are into exploring the impacts of fame.
My research posts have helped me come to conclusions about the effectiveness of documentaries on presenting the effects of fame because they have clearly shown how some have more bias.An example of this would be in Homecoming,a film by Beyonce .I was easily able to conclude that her documentary was a way for her to promote herself as it didnt show a full backstory. My research was easy to complete because it is secondary which means I didnt have to gain data myself.However, an issue with my use of documentaries is that it is quite subjective and I may interpret the documentaries differently to others.To prove my research I also used critiques reviews to compare with mine ,most of the time my research matched with theirs.
How useful are music documentaries in exploring the impacts of fame? I began my project with the title of 'what are the negative impacts of fame? 'and my intention was to do secondary research around the lives of celebrities and how fame changed them but as i was researching I realized it would be more useful to talk about both sides of fame, the negatives and the positives. Then I found a useful way to research the lives of celebrities was through watching documentaries about them. I then realized the best way for me to record my research was by using primary research and making my own notes about each documentary that I watched as well as including critical reviews about each one from viewers. perspectives. I then realized that most of the documentaries that i was watching revolved around the music industry so it would be better to focus on the music industry.
