Louis Tomlinson-all of the voices-Charlie Lightening

14th November 2023- young so has time to make more-Findings from all of those voices:Louis struggles to find time to spend with his son.He struggles to adjust to being a normal human being after being a celebritity on tour. He also struggles to talk to fans as sometimes he doesnt feel like himself .He struggled with processing leaving the band as he didnt know what to do with himslef as he got into fame at such a young age that he wasnt sure what else he could do with his life.He thinks that the fans are as important to him as he is to the fans because they make him feel successful. He didnt expect to be able to get back into fame. The death of his mum and sister largely affected him as hed spent so much time with them, but this made him want to get back into performing as his mum said she knew h could do it. He felt like he couldnt be independent in the band as he didnt just want to do as he was told as he wanted the band to write their own songs. He was told that he had a solo verse however he didnt and he felt useless and just wanted to add more to the band.In covid he got a chnace to spend time on his second album , whilst alone he got more of a chnace to be independent and choose what he was writing and singing however he still found it weird to listen to or sing the one direction songs alone as he thought it was an "outer body experience".He loved the band as he couldnt see himslef as being a solo artist and he thpought he wouldnt be as supportive howvere seeing full stadiums showed him he could be independent. He says performing at wembley was overwhelming as he performed there with one direction and never thought hed get to a similar point. He also thought that after one direction he would never be as famous and that was his peak.Fans were camping out to support him.
Who made it and involvement
The documentary was produced by Charlie lightening who makes music videos, they met whilst at a screening of a documentary about Liam Galleger, this means the documentary wont say anything that would portray Louis in a bad light however it does show his struggles.
'Louis is a very private person but I think people will be surprised by just how much he opens up in this film. You see him being a dad and being vulnerable with his family'-Charlie Lightening

Purpose
I think that Louis documentary wasnt just to put him in a good light,it was to show what it felt like to leave a band and the positives and negatives of being a solo artist.
reviews-
it doesnt dwell on the 1D days but doesnt ignore them
casts himself as the bands thinker by telling us hes most proud of being the member with the most songwriting credits
Conclusions and link to my EPQ
Overall ,I thinbk that this documentary wasnt just to paint him in a good light as it doesnt just show awards but i think it is a way to show audiences the real him rather than just one of the five members of one direction. It also shows some of his personal problems which may be used to show the impacts of fame but also so he connect with others who may have had similar experiences. It links to my EPQ as it explores his changes through his career and it doesnt just focus on the height of his career and therefore it proves that music documentaries are useful in proving the positive and negative impacts of fame
