Lady Gaga -Five foot two-Chris Moukarbel

Notes from watching-12th December 2023 Directed by Chris Moukarbel-linked with Gagas manager-reliable as she had her part in it however it may be biased so she can portray herself in a good light Findings from five foot two- Shes had quite a long career but shes still young so has time to possibly make more shes felt insecure when working with men before -she says'references in music are like putting things in a suitcase and taking it to the future' -she prefers people saying things to her face rather than to other people -eg-madonna -she says she feels like she cant offer as much as other girls could and she doesnt want to just be a place for men to put pain -she says that whenever women become powerful there is always opposition and she says how in history omen have always been owned -she said she felt like she stopped growing up when she became famous -she goes from being touched and talked to all day to being in complete silence at night and she feels lonely -she doesnt want to have to be glamorous all of the time but shes worried people wont want to watch her if shes not -she has daily panic attacks -she says'my fans are my heart and soul' -shes constantly scared that people wont like her new music -she says 'its my life' and she doesnt want anyone else to control it fans perspectives-'when i feel down her songs inpspire me' 'meeting her means so much to me'
When Madonna’s on camera, she scoffs or drops small hints, subtly seeded insecurities that only fans acquainted with the liner notes of her life will pick up. It’s the difference between a singer seeking to document her continued romp through pop culture and one seeking to get back into its inner circle-Time -other documentaries have just documented high after high. Here, we see Gaga getting her makeup done before a medical procedure as she mutters to herself to get over the online leak of Joanne. It’s a painfully raw moment for just how much it seems unextraordinary — just another day in the life of someone who aspires to be the biggest pop star in the world again.

Purpose and involvement
The purpose was to show some of the realism inside of fame, the director said he had a lot of freedom
Critical reviews

The film is personal in a way that made me uncomfortable -- as if she were meting out chosen bits of information, little hunks of meat tossed into a pit of crazed alligators. The image is flattering to no one-New Yorker
If you want a look inside the life of a very successful singer and meet the woman behind the persona, this one certainly fits the bill-Firstpost

Conclusion and link to my EPQ-Overall, I think this documentary is truthfully about her issues as the director had a lot of freedom therefore it explores the impacts of fame,it is useful to my EPQ as it shows how music documentaries sometimes genuinely are to show past struggles/experiences and not just hidden motives
